SYLVIE SAMA

I am a Master Hairstylist and the CEO of Sterling Locs and African Braiding Salon. I am originally from West Africa, Cameroon to be precise. I started doing Hair when I was 10 years old. I watched my Mom and my elder sister do people's hair and get paid. I would help my Mom and my sister to finish braid-ends. My sister, later on, opened her hair salon and I worked at her salon during the summer breaks.

So, I have been in the hair industry for the past two decades of my life and I understand the needs and worries of most people taking care of their natural hair and growing healthy hair. 

I got my cosmetology license at Ogle School of Hair Skin and Nail in San Antonio, Texas, in 2018.

​

After I got my license, I worked with Designer Glitz and Glamour, and a couple of other natural hair salons in Texas. 

I decided to run my own salon suite in 2019 under the name "Sterling Hair and Beauty Salon LLC”. I am currently running a Locs and Braiding salon in Lakeland, Florida, with the main aim of working together with my team and clients to deliver excellent services. My priority is my client's satisfaction and helping them wear their own natural, hair healthy, and beautiful.

  Our hair is our crown and needs to be well taken care of. I am also a certified GK hair specialist and equally certified in sister locs. Please come visit our salon and have a beautiful experience with our skillful stylists.

BERNICE

My journey to beautifying hair started at the age of eight. The look of joy on the faces of people at various phases of their hair care journey after I completed their hair helped me realize this is what I was called to do. Helping people to see the potential of their hair that they perceived to be challenging or a struggle became my mission.

Showing people that I am here to ease that burden became easier with each person's hair I styled. Although I specialize in hair care, I am also skillful in braids/extensions, and natural hairstyles for kids, men, and women.

MARIA

I have been a hairstylist for 15 years. I enjoy the creativity that is required to have unique hairstyles. It also requires precision, focus, and attention to detail. I have been working in the Hair Industry since I was a child and I have seen the Industry blossom into what it is today.

Hello. My name is Gwendoline Jomi. I am originally from Cameroon, Africa. I currently live in Tampa, FL. Braiding is my passion and I have been braiding for over eight years now. My skill set includes single plats, Senegalese twists, crushed knotless braids, and loc twists.
