Here at Sterling Locs and Hair Salon LLC, we’ve worked hard for the last five years to build a thriving business with a reputation that speaks for itself. We love our clients and want to be available for their hair care needs. Around this time of the year,  we’re busier than ever.

Do you hold a valid license in Florida? Are you a hair braider? Are you looking for employment at a salon that offers support and is family oriented?

Our ideal candidate will have an active occupational license in good standing and will share our strong commitments to promptness, professionalism, and client safety.

Why should you come to work with us? Plenty of reasons! Sterling Locs and Hair Salon is owned and managed by Sylvie Sama, a salon management consultant and fierce advocate for healthy hair. Braiders and stylists are entitled to 100% of their tips. Stylists can earn a minimum of $500 to $800 weekly. You’ll find that our policies and practices are quite different than what you’re probably used to:

• We strongly believe that stylists and Braiders should spend their time at work doing what they love, so your job duties will include welcoming the client, performing a consultation, rendering service to the client, counseling clients on hair care and product, inventory, and management of the salon. 

• We embrace creativity so bring your own styling tools. You will never be charged arbitrary fees for supplies or “redos.”

• All employees are trained in our service protocols, so you’ll never feel lost or unprepared.

• We support your continued professional development by teaching you new skills and techniques.

How important is skill level/experience? We ask that you have at least six months of braiding experience. We provide every employee with extensive training to ensure mastery of our service protocols, so we greatly prioritize hard-working applicants with positive attitudes, regardless of their skill level.
